Successful Crown Court Appeal - Affray, offensive weapon 2021
Our client was convicted at the Magistrates court and we successfully appealed his conviction at the crown court. We instructed an expert Barrister and thoroughly prepared the appeal. It was alleged that our client threatened a motorist with a large knife. A number of police officers identified our client and stated that they were sure he had committed the offence. The Court accepted that there had been a breach of Identification procedures by the police as we successfully challenged the identification under PACE. We argued for no adverse inference to be drawn from our client's no comment interview.
