Colindale Police Station Threats to Kill NFA

Mr Richard Souper, one of our experienced Consultant Criminal Solicitors, was on call as duty solicitor at Colindale Police Station when he was required to represent a client who had been arrested for making Threats to Kill contrary to Section 16 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861.

It was alleged that our client had attended the home of his ex-partner to pick up one of their children when a heated argument had broken out in which our client had threatened to kill the complainant. This argument had allegedly been witnessed by a member of the complainant’s family.

When Mr Richard Souper attended Colindale Police Station and had taken the client’s instructions, he advised the client to give their version of events in the interview, clearly denying any threats allegedly made, and to provide an explanation of their family problems and their concern for the children.

Upon completion of the interview our client was not charged and left the Police Station knowing that the Police were not going to take any further action against him for the alleged incident.
