Willesden Magistrates Court - S5 & S5A Public Order ACT - Client Acquitted after Trial.

We were recently instructed in a trial at Willesden Magistrates Court for the offences of S5 Public order Act and Racially Aggravated S5 Public Order Act .  In this case the police relied on CCTV evidence.  The Prosecution sought to proceed in the absence of the complainant by relying on CCTV alone.  Our client disputed the facts and the footage. Our advocate argued successfully before the resident District Judge that the CPS had failed to exhibit the CCTV properly and could therefore not rely on it as evidence. The court agreed and our client was acquitted.
