Client NOT GUILTY conspiracy 2018
R v O & Others - An allegation of significant international drug smuggling involving multiple border crossings using the cover of a DHL van. The case involved aspects of customs and international couriering procedure, as well as significant telephone and satnav evidence”
Our client was found not guilty having been accused with his brother and another. A large consignment of cocaine was seized by Police in the DHL van belonging to our client and compelling digital evidence was served to link our client to previous “runs” of an identical nature. The DHL van was found to have been customised with a specially designed hold within which to transport the drugs. The case necessitated tenacious probing of the prosecution for full disclosure and analytical examination of digital evidence in order to secure an acquittal for our client. His brother, represented by another firm, was convicted. The case demonstrates that with excellent case preparation and the first-class choice of barrister our client obtained a successful outcome. If convicted the client would have received a very long term of imprisonment.
