Man Not Guilty Offensive weapon Private Place Highbury Corner Magistrates Court 2024

Our client was found not guilty following one count of possession of an offensive weapon in a private place contrary to section 141(1A) of the Criminal Justice Act 1988.

Our client’s defence was that he bought the weapon before the legislation came into force, and that he was no longer living at the property where the weapon was found.

We successfully defended the client, putting forward his evidence and version of events. The Defendant was acquitted.
